Privacy & Transparency

Your images stay under your control.

PixelForge – Image Tools is built around local image processing. This Privacy Policy explains what the app accesses, what it does not collect, and how your selected images and preferences are handled.

Core privacy principle: images selected for PixelForge's core tools are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to a PixelForge-operated server for processing.

Privacy Policy for PixelForge – Image Tools

PixelForge – Image Tools (“PixelForge,” “the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is designed to provide image editing and processing utilities while respecting user privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use PixelForge – Image Tools.

1. Information We Collect

PixelForge – Image Tools does not require users to create an account or provide personal information to use its image-processing features.

The App does not intentionally collect personal information such as your:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Account credentials
  • Precise location
  • Contacts
  • Personal identifiers

2. Images and Media Files

PixelForge allows users to select images from their device in order to perform functions such as:

  • Compressing images
  • Resizing images
  • Cropping and rotating images
  • Flipping images
  • Converting image formats
  • Saving processed images
  • Sharing processed images

Images selected by the user are processed locally on the user's device.

PixelForge does not upload selected images to our servers for image processing.

The App only accesses images that the user chooses through the applicable Android file or media selection interface.

3. Image Processing

Image-processing operations are performed locally on the device.

Depending on the feature selected, PixelForge may temporarily process image data in device memory or temporary application storage to generate the requested output.

Processed images are saved only when the user chooses to save them.

4. Storage and Save Location

PixelForge may save processed images to the device's media storage or to a location selected by the user.

The default save location may be a PixelForge folder within the device's Pictures storage, subject to the Android version and storage system in use.

If the user selects a custom save location, Android may grant the App persistent access to that selected location so PixelForge can save future processed images there.

The App does not access unrelated files solely because a save location has been selected.

5. Sharing Images

PixelForge includes functionality that allows users to share processed images.

When the user selects the Share option, the image may be temporarily made available to another application selected by the user through Android's sharing system.

PixelForge does not control how a third-party application handles information after the user chooses to share an image with that application.

Users should review the privacy practices of any third-party applications they choose to use for sharing.

6. App Preferences

PixelForge may store certain application preferences locally on the device, including settings such as:

  • Preferred image quality
  • Selected save location
  • Other application configuration necessary for the App to operate

These preferences are used to provide the functionality selected by the user.

7. Temporary Files

PixelForge may create temporary files when processing or sharing images.

Temporary files may be stored within the App's cache or private application storage and may be removed automatically as part of normal application operation or when the App's cache/data is cleared.

8. Internet and Server Processing

The core image-processing functionality of PixelForge is designed to operate locally on the user's device.

The App does not require images to be sent to a PixelForge-operated server in order to perform its core image-processing functions.

9. Analytics and Tracking

PixelForge does not intentionally use its core functionality to track users across applications or websites.

If analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or other third-party SDKs are added to a future version of the App, this Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary to describe their data practices.

10. Advertising

The current version of PixelForge described by this Privacy Policy does not rely on advertising functionality as part of its core features.

If advertising services are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated where required.

11. Permissions and Device Access

PixelForge only requests or uses device access necessary to provide its functionality.

Depending on the Android version and features used, access may be provided through Android system interfaces such as the photo picker, document picker, media storage system, or sharing system.

The App is designed to avoid requesting unnecessary sensitive permissions.

12. Data Sharing and Sale

PixelForge does not sell users' personal information.

Because the App's core image-processing operations are performed locally, images selected for those operations are not transmitted to us for processing.

Information may leave the App when the user explicitly chooses to share or export content to another application or service.

13. Data Retention

PixelForge does not maintain a remote user account or server-side image library for its core functionality.

Processed images intentionally saved by the user remain in the selected device storage location until they are deleted by the user or otherwise removed through the device.

Locally stored application preferences remain on the device until they are changed, cleared, or removed as part of uninstalling or clearing the App's data, subject to Android's behavior.

Temporary application files may be automatically deleted during normal operation.

14. Data Security

PixelForge is designed to minimize privacy risks by performing core image-processing operations locally and limiting unnecessary data access.

However, no software or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting access to their device and for deciding where processed images are saved or shared.

15. Children's Privacy

PixelForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or registration system.

The App is a general-purpose image utility and is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children.

If future versions introduce functionality that changes these practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

16. Third-Party Services

When users choose to share, open, save, or otherwise transfer content using another application or service, that third party may process information according to its own privacy policy.

PixelForge is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party applications or services independently selected by the user.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's functionality, data practices, legal requirements, or third-party integrations change.

Any updated version should be made available through the App's official Privacy Policy location, and the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy will be revised accordingly.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
